Hourly Definition Proposed to Apply towards Lottery Advertising Being Implemented through News Websites

At March 22 sitting of the NA Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Diaspora, Youth and Sport, the bill on Amending the Law on Advertising authored by the RA Government in the first reading.

The hourly definition is proposed to apply instead of 20% website page voluminous restriction towards lottery advertising being implemented through news websites, designing that the advertisements can be carried out during the period from 22:00 until 07:00. The RA Deputy Minister of Finance Armen Hayrapetyan informed that the State Revenue Committee will implement mentioned oversight through monitoring.

The mentioned requirement will relate to the violations of the requirements established for lotteries, internet winning games, winning games and casino advertisements. The Committee endorsed the bill.

The debate of the draft law on Making Amendments and Addenda to the RA Law on Mass Media and on Amending the RA Code on Administrative Offences authored by the NA deputies Artur Hovhannisyan, Hayk Konjoryan, Hamazasp Danielyan, Vahagn Hovakimyan, Taguhi Ghazaryan and Khandanyan was postponed for two months.
